AI FOR EVERYDAY LIFE

SESSION 04 · FINAL SESSION

MAKE AI
WORK
FOR YOU.

No new bag of tricks. Tonight, you will make one useful thing fit your life—and prove it still works when life changes.

60 minutes to leave with something you will actually use

Use ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, or another AI assistant. The buttons may differ; the process stays the same.

START WITH YOUR LIFE

Bring back one thing that actually helped.

1

Find it

A message, choice, plan, checklist, prompt, or small tool from this course.

2

Run it

Use it once exactly as you would have before tonight.

3

Save it

Keep that answer. You will improve the same thing—not start over.

Nothing to bring back? Use a real task waiting for you this week.

YOUR HELP CARD

Tell AI what good help looks like to you.

Keep it short. Write what changes the help—not your whole life story.

Use Student Tools: AI asks you one question at a time, then makes a six-line Help Card you can keep.
1Most of the time, I use AI to…
2A useful answer for me is…
3Please ask me before you guess about…
4Keep me in charge of…

USE THE ITEM YOU SAVED EARLIER

Make one real change to it.

What does “it” mean? The message, plan, decision, checklist, prompt, or small tool you chose at minute 3. AI cannot see that earlier work unless you paste it into the chat.

Choose the sentence that fits your real situation and fill in the blank. Use something that actually changed. If nothing changed, choose one that could realistically happen to your item.

Need it sooner“I now need this by ______.”
Less money or fewer supplies“I can spend or use only ______.”
Another person is affected“This also needs to work for ______.”
First choice is gone“______ is no longer possible.”
Needs to be simpler“This must be simple enough for ______.”
Your actual change“What really changed was ______.”
Paste your saved item, then add: “Here is what changed: ______. Keep what still works. Update only what needs to change. Ask me one question first if you need more information.”
Did AI use your new detail? Did it keep the parts that still fit? Did it ask before making an important guess?

ONE REPAIR · SAME TEST

Fix the thing that actually went wrong.

What went wrong?

Name the failure in plain words.

Add one clear line

Tell AI what to do next time that exact problem appears.

Try it again

Use the same real-life change. See whether your new line improved the result.

Example: “It guessed how much I could spend.” → Add: “If cost changes the answer and I have not given a budget, ask me first.”

THE 12-MINUTE FAVOR

Take one real thing off next week’s plate.

Choose something you genuinely need in the next seven days. Move it from “thinking about it” to “ready to use.”

Your finish line: a message you can send, a plan you can follow, a choice you can explain, a checklist you can use, or a small tool that works.

Use your Help Card. Check the detail that matters most. Improve the result once.

12:00
MAKE IT READY TO USE

PAIR CHECK · 90 SECONDS EACH

Show the real thing.
Ask one honest question.

“Would you actually use this?”

If the answer is “not yet,” name the one change that would make it useful.

LEAVE WITH A DECISION

For the next 30 days:

Once a week, AI will help me ____________________.
I will still check or decide ____________________.

Use AI where it saves your time.
Keep your judgment where it matters.
